Iwamura Historical Museum / Iwamura Folklore Museum

Iwamura Historical Museum, located on the site of the lord of Iwamura Domain’s residence at the foot of the Iwamura Castle ruins, exhibits historical materials related to Iwamura Castle and domain, including the Iwamura Castle Map drawn in 1718 and the 1776 Iwamura Castle Plan, both designated as Gifu Prefectural Important Cultural Properties. The attached Iwamura Folklore Museum, in a relocated old house, displays numerous folk tools providing a glimpse into the lives of old Japan.

Admission 300 Yen, 200 Yen for those 65 and older, free for high school students and younger *Admission fee is the same as the Historical Museum
Hours 9am to 5pm (9:30am to 4pm from December to March)
Closed: Mondays (the following day if Monday is a national holiday), the day after national holidays, New Year's holidays (December 28th to January 4th)
