Former Dyers Residence, Tosaya (Ena City designated Cultural Property)
This merchant’s house operated a dyeing business during the mid 18th century Meiji period. The valuable indigo dyeing factory, now fully restored to its original appearance, is open to the public as the Tosaya Crafts Museum and includes a dyeing factory where you can learn about the dyeing process of the time, and a storehouse exhibiting the history of Tosaya. The Tensho waterway, built in 1576 as a water source for daily life and fire prevention, can still be seen in the garden.
